How Sam Found Baking

When Sam first joined our creative activities program, we explored all kinds of hands-on hobbies together. Painting was enjoyable. Music had its moments. But something changed the first time Sam stepped into the kitchen. The measuring, the mixing, the careful attention to each step — this was where Sam felt most himself.Within weeks, Sam had started developing his own recipe: a soft, golden rolled pastry with a smooth Nutella filling, finished with a crunchy layer of crushed pistachios. It wasn’t something anyone taught him — it came from trial, error, and a stubborn devotion to getting the ratio just right.Now, every week brings a new experiment. A slightly different shape. A little more pistachio. A drizzle of honey. For Sam, baking is never finished — it’s always evolving, always getting better. And that plate of pastries on the table? That’s not just food. That’s weeks of patience, focus, and pride.
